You Must Shine Wherever You Go | Amit Ray Teachings
Sri Amit Ray said, “You will shine wherever you go, if you carry the light of compassion in your heart.” He is the bright morning star in my sky. Some stars in the heaven are always in their fixed locations and are stable to guide people in the right directions. Amit Ray is like the morning star in the sky of compassion. If a sailor cannot find his way in the sea at night, all he needs to do is lift up his eyes and look to the stars above to help him find his bearings, and then he will know which direction to go. Like that, his teachings are the light to guide you in every situation of life.

In the God’s world there are two types of people: heavenly in nature or earthly in nature. Heavenly persons are called God’s right hand. A heavenly person do not be live in the flesh, they live in the spirit. That’s why heavenly persons are considered as star in the sky. It is said. “God does not care so much for the outward work. God wants them to become pure and like a star held in the Lord’s right hand.”
In the past, the emphasis regarding the service has often been on the outward work, activities and methods. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). Hence, developing purity in heart is the first thing. This does not mean that the outward things do not need to be done, but let everyone understand that inner purity is vital.
Everybody knows that when the sun rises, the stars can no longer be seen. You cannot find a star that shines brighter than the sun. If so, then that star would definitely be in competition with the sun. Once the sun appears, the stars fade away. Amit Ray says, “We must be energetic but humble in our work and service for the humanity and the world. We should focus more on the quality of our actions, for the betterment in the world.”
The fixed stars in the sky, refers to the night sky that we can see during the evening hours during every season.The Earth is our space ship, out of whose window we discover different areas of the night sky. We can be like a star in the sky, if we can develop equanimity, or peace of mind. This can be achieved by detaching oneself from the cycle of excessive craving for worldly things. Many of us are bound to so many things. We believe these things are necessary for our survival, our security, and our happiness. But they can be obstacles for our true joy and happiness. What is truly needed is a compassionate heart.
