How to break your subconscious habit patterns

We have  three types of minds the conscious mind, subconscious mind  and the unconscious mind. It is possible that unconscious becomes subconscious, and then conscious. We may live our whole lives without being aware of the unconscious mind.  Unconscious mind is the store house of all of all our unfinished tasks, unresolved issues, and unanswered questions. The unconscious mind is very persistent; it nags until the conscious mind takes some unconscious actions. As soon as the conscious mind starts to do something, the unconscious mind stops nagging.

The consciousness mind is the awareness at the present moment. You are aware of something on the outside as well as some specific mental functions happening on the inside. For example, you are aware of your environment, your breathing, or the chair that you are sitting on.

The subconscious mind is the memory that we can recall. The subconscious contains thoughts and feelings that a person is not currently aware of, but which can easily be brought to consciousness.  It exists just below the level of consciousness before the unconscious mind.

The unconscious mind, consisting of the primitive, instinctual wishes as well as the information that we cannot access. Although our behaviors might indicate the unconscious forces that drive them, we don’t have easy access to the information stored in the unconscious mind. During our childhood, we acquired countless memories and experiences that formed who we are today. However, we cannot recall most of those memories. They are unconscious forces (beliefs, patterns, subjective maps of reality) that drive our behaviors.

Bringing  harmony with the subconscious and conscious minds is the key to happiness. All our habit patterns are the work of subconscious mind. To overcome the bad habits formed in your subconscious and unconscious mind, try the following seven methods:

1. Surround yourself with positive people.

2. Accept that you can’t prevent, or control.

3. Stop being overly critical of yourself.

4. Do not compare yourself to others.

5.  Maintain equanimity and mental peace in all circumstance

6. Use positive auto-suggestions.

7. Use subliminal positive suggestions

Generally, it takes sixty six days to change and develop a new habit pattern. You can make changes in your own unconscious habits by noting down your desires, success and the failures.
